Tuesday, February 2 Dear Church Family, As you know on January 19, FBC Temple experienced a devastating fire causing total damage in many areas of our church buildings. These trials have forced us to acknowledge we must change the way we conduct many of our ministries. As a result of the many challenges our church is facing, our church's personnel committee and stewardship committee have unanimously voted to indefinitely cease operations of our Child Development Center, This decision was a difficult one to make but was also necessary for the future health of our church. We are working with our CDC employees to assist them in finding new employment. We also are giving CDC employees a generous severance. We appreciate the dedication and love given by all of our CDC employees. We want to express a special thank you to Carolyn Gunter. For the last eleven and a half years she has done an outstanding job directing our CDC ministry. Without a doubt closing our CDC saddens us all. Our CDC ministry has ministered and made a wonderful spiritual difference in countless of lives. We ask you to pray for the children, parents and employees affected by this difficult decision.
