Sanctuary Choir
A love of Almighty God and a heart for worship are the most important requirements for membership in this group. As primary worship leaders for the corporate Body of Christ, this group meets out of a sense of calling and giftedness to serve the church. Not only leading in worship each week on Sunday mornings, this group prepares for special events at Christmas and Easter as well as other presentations throughout the year. No audition is necessary nor is the ability to read music, but an ability to sing on pitch expected.
Praise Team
Membership in this area of ministry is by audition only. Members of the Praise Team are active members and leaders of the Adult Choir. A true servant's heart and willingness to yield to one another are required. An ability to blend their voices and learn music quickly is expected. Most importantly, a continued development of God's leadership in their lives must be evident.
Celebration Orchestra
The orchestra plays regularly for both Sunday morning worship services and is open to anyone in high school or older. A minimum of two years playing experience is recommended. Playing for congregational accompaniment to special pieces for preludes and offertories, this developing ministry is open to new members.
Celebration Singers
If you have received an invitation to join AARP, you are eligible to sing with this dynamic group of adults who meet for music and fellowship. Originally organized in 1985, this choir has been ministering for over 30 years in local Nursing Homes and Retirement Clubs, participating in the annual TX Baptist Senior Adult Music Festival, singing for worship at First Baptist Church and participating in other mission events. A servant spirit and a desire to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, as well as the desire for fellowship, are all that is needed!
Temple Ringers
Using a five octave set of Schulmerich handbells, this group meets through the fall and spring to prepare and lead in worship. Special events at Christmas and Easter, as well as the Patriotic service in July, also give this group opportunity to share their music. Basic music reading is required. Because of the nature of this group, openings are limited. If you would like to be on the substitute list, please contact the music office.

Voices in Praise, Student Choir
Made up of students in the 6th-12th grade, this choir meets during the school year to sing a variety of music from spirituals and classics as well as the best in current contemporary music. Leading in regular worship experiences as well as other local venues, VIP seeks to impact our student's lives through music and missions opportunities.
Children's Choirs
Our graded choir ministry seeks to provide opportunities for children to experience God through music activities and worship. By teaching Biblical truths, concepts of worship leadership and general music skills, our trained music leaders seek to introduce each child to the life changing love of God. It is also our desire to develop a lifetime love of music and worship in each child through age appropriate activities. Hymn memory is taught throughout the year. Awards are given for hymn memory and for weekly attendance.
