Discipleship Unlimited - Prison Ministry

Angel Tree - A Prison Ministry - Cheryl Jones
Since its beginning in 1982, Angel Tree Christmas has touched the live of children whose parent or parents are incarcerated. Through the loving participation of thousands of churches across the nation, local children of prisoners receive two gifts: one is a toy and one is an article of clothing. Our church members deliver the gifts to the children in our area. The gifts are given in the name of the absent parent and Jesus.
Opportunities for Service: Donate money towards the purchase of a gift in November. Purchase a gift (toy or clothing) - Help deliver gifts in December
Family Promise - Marcia Pope
Boxes for Front Lines - Madelyn Bassett
Volunteers collect items, pack boxes and mail them to the men and women serving our country in Iraq.

Churches Touching Lives for Christ - Bert & Lois Booth
CTLC is an evangelical cooperative ministry of churches working together to meet needs of individuals in order to introduce them to Christ. CTLC provides food, clothing, help with prescriptions, gasoline, transportation and emergency utility assistance.
Opportunities for Service:
Serve as a volunteer Saturdays from 9 am to Noon or Tuesdays from 1 to 4 pm

Mission basis is Colossians 1:9-10: to strengthen women of all ages in their knowledge of and commitment to Christ, to reach out to people of Temple and beyond, to go and grow, to glorify God, to walk in His grace.
Outreach - Community and Beyond
Volunteer at community shelters, help provide meals one Thursday a month for Temple College and University of Mary Hardin Baylor student ministries, or start new ministries... we always like new ideas!
Prayer Ministry
Our church recognizes the power of prayer. We have a Prayer Room which gives our members the opportunity to spend one hour per week/day, at a time of their choosing, to pray for our church and members, our community, our nation and special needs.
All church prayer time - 1st Tuesday of each month - 9:30 am - Christ Episcopoal Sanctuary

Helping students plan for their education. (By appointment only.)
Special Events
We try to have, at least once a year, a special event focused on women, such as a conference or retreat.
Women On Mission - Linda Kyle, WMU Director / Margaret Young, President of Women On Mission
Women On Mission is an organization through which women of any age can grow in their relationship with Christ and in mission involvement. WOM meets the first Tuesday of each month. Programs are designed to promote mission education through involvement. Prayer is a priority at each meeting, praying specifically for missionaries and their ministries.
Opportunities for Service:
Preparing Supplies and sewing quilts for mission trips
Serving lunch to BSM students at Temple College monthly
Collecting shoes and socks for Orphan Souls
Supporting CTLC with hands-on activities
Financial support: Texas Baptist Children's Home
