Baptism at First Baptist Church of Temple, TX

THE PRACTICE OF BAPTISM
For those seeking to be baptized, your baptism will take place during a worship service. During a baptism an individual has the opportunity to share with the worshipping community their decision to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a picture and an illustration - a symbolic act. Through immersion, baptism illustrates the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf and our subsequent faith in Him. It is not necessary for salvation, but is strongly associated with salvation as it best illustrates our new identity with Jesus Christ.

HOW TO BE BAPTIZED
At the conclusion of each of our worship services, anyone who is interested in joining the church, being baptized or making a profession of faith in Jesus Christ is asked to go to the Connection Point and talk to one of our volunteers. You will be contacted later about your baptism.
